ONE ON ONE TRAINING

WE OFFER ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING FOR THE FOLLOWING PHOTOGRAPHERS

The beginner who wants to better understand and get more use of their DSLR or mirrorless camera and lenses and learn the basics of photography; exposure, shutter speeds and f. stops, composition and how to use your on-camera flash effectively.

The accomplished amateur or starting, part-time photographer who wants to improve their skills on environmental or studio portrait lighting, including posing and event photography like weddings, other social events and business functions.

The working, part-time or full-time professional who wants to take their business and craft to a higher level. This can include multiple lights techniques for studio or environmental portraits, posing, pricing and marketing your work, wedding photography, corporate event photography, product photography and sports photography.

OUR TRAINING IS PERSONAL AND CUSTOMIZED TO YOUR SPECIFIC NEEDS

We like to have a conversation with our students to make sure we know the information you need and what you already know. The equipment you have or are planning to purchase, and very importantly, what you plan to do with your photography. You may want to take great landscapes in your travels and decorate your home with beautiful large metal prints; or you may be thinking of becoming a "weekend warrior" as a wedding photographer.

If models are needed for portrait or wedding photography instruction you must arrange for that. You can offer someone you know nice, free photographs. That usually works very well!

POST PRODUCTION AND WORKFLOW INSTRUCTION

Post production is everything that takes place after we take a digital photograph. Whether we shoot "JPEG" or "RAW" there is the need to download our images to a computer, select the "winners" and manipulate them so they look their best so you can use them electronically, have prints made, or send them to your client. This is where many photographers need help so they don't spend so much time on the computer that they lose their interest in photography. Professionals need to perfect their workflow so they have time to deal with clients, market their services and have a life. Especially if you have a "day job".

We offer training in culling tools like Photomechanic and Narrative that allow us to look through thousands of images very quickly and select our favorites. We also offer training in Lightroom where we perform overall corrections quickly and in Photoshop where we manipulate images much further to retouch faces, enhance or change backgrounds, express our creative vision and much, much more.

There are other tools we use as professional photographers to deliver our work, shopping carts where images or prints can be purchased online, etc.
