Even though a wedding day is a fast-paced event with lots of moving parts, we always search for unique locations for photography, even if we only have limited time. This is why we always recommend the couples have a “first look” before the ceremony. When couples do that, they can take advantage of many beautiful areas on the property including these rustic steps. This area is sometimes used as a ceremony location, but on this day, the ceremony was on the lower level Teatro of Rancho Las Lomas, leaving the steps open for some great bride and groom portraits. The posts and stone lined edges make for dynamic leading lines that frame the subject nicely. This is one of our favorites locations in this property! Other areas we like at Rancho include the bridal cottage, main bridge, the Ricks Cafe balcony, and the red phone booth.
