We had visited the Santa Luz Country Club, but had not had the opportunity to do wedding photos there until this wedding. It’s a charming location with a small courtyard and next to it was a large, beautifully decorated tent where the reception took place. The ceremony was at the Immaculata Catholic Church in the University of San Diego. We had done photos of the bride and groom at the Church, but now that we were at the Country Club, we had a few minutes until the guests arrived. The bride and groom were much more relaxed and while the groom stepped away for a few moments the bride walked by this bench. In front of the bench were steps leading to a lower level and I noticed that a low angle would make this bench area look great. I asked the bride to sit on the bench, but not in the center. Everything in the image looks very balanced so I thought having the bride not in the center of an otherwise balanced image would look interesting.
