Couples in Southern California should be able to expect great weather nearly year round, but when an engagement session is booked on a rare rainy day and those save the dates need to go out stat, we can photograph our clients in our studio and still provide stunning shots they will love.
We enjoyed playing with the neutral navy and gray palette of the couple's wardrobe set against a complimentary gray backdrop... this brought all the focus to their radiant faces and loving expressions. Expert lighting and romantic, easy posing, along with a little help from a fan for some added drama with the bride-to-be's hair, makes this studio shot as visually interesting as any we could shoot outdoors, but with the added bonus of clean simplicity and shooting conditions that were completely in our hands.
But, it would be a shame to waste what our beautiful SoCal landscape has to offer, so we did schedule a subsequent "raincheck" shoot for this amazing couple at the beach, so they could have the gamut of memories to reflect this special time in their lives. We feel proud that we are able to give our clients their vision for an engagement portrait, and we are certainly armed with the equipment, expertise and imaginations to consistently do so, whatever the weather.
