This image is one in a series of business headshots taken of staff members at the stunning Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, Orange County. By changing the angle slightly and rendering the background out of focus, we were able to call to mind the look of the resort, without any distracting elements taking focus away from the subject. Also,though a few members of the team were photographed in a similar spot, changing the angle meant no two portraits looked identical and we could provide a nice blend of unity and variety for our client's final selection of images. We guided this catering team member to a relaxed and welcoming expression that is perfect for promoting her role in events at the resort.
