We took this headshot of a Southern California business consultant along with others like it for her colleagues on the same day. In this case, we used gray paper lit with background light for a soft gradation. Simple and effective set ups like this allow for the personality of the subject to really come through...in this case, the consultant conveys a polished and professional look with a true zest for what she does. Her look is direct and confident but totally approachable. It is always so interesting how in a shoot where we capture multiple subjects, how different and magnetic each person can be in their own way.
