Toddlers bring spontaneity and fun to our Costa Mesa studio, but they certainly have minds of their own when it comes to many things--like the wardrobe selected for portrait sessions. This sweet little guy was game for most things but simply would not keep his adorable hat on! He did not get upset but would throw the hat down every time it was placed on his little head. So we developed a work around-- it was just a matter of having mom put the hat on and move away quickly so we could photograph him as he begun to take it off, which gave the effect that he was actually putting it on. Everything turned out great in the end and the parents were very happy. Photographing small children often means we have to think on our feet, which we are more than happy to do if it means capturing so much cuteness!
