This image was created as an anniversary present for the husband of our South Asian (Indian) client. She is wearing a traditional sari. and classic Indian jewelry. This portrait was photographed in our studio on a Charris hand painted background with simple lighting. The slight vignetting draws the viewer's attention to the subject. Generally, for this type of "low key" portrait, we suggest that our clients wear solid color clothing that is darker than their skin, mainly the face, as the viewer of a photograph is first drawn to the lighter values of the image, then to the rest. Mirta's retouching gave this client a great look without looking over retouched.
