This Pin Up style fashion image was photographed in a dark narrow hallway of a bar in Orange County where the subject of this image worked. Her makeup and hair had a 40's look that went well with the tight skirt but contrasted significantly with her striking ink wok. The color combination of the wood wall helped to bring it all together. The single light quality is very distinctive, it was provided by a Profoto ring light, normally used in studio but a very interesting creative light source. It's a flash tube that wraps around the camera lens so you shoot through the flash. I love the light that this tool provides when used for the right subject.
