The main exhibitors at large conventions often go all out to attract convention attendees. They don't set up a small table or booth, they bring an entire experience including stages for speakers to share information that benefits the company. Sharing useful information, especially from well known professionals in an industry, is the best way to attract people to a booth. Usually these talks are scheduled and advertised so there are usually large crowds that hopefully will stick around after the lecture and examine the company's products.
