Erin and Jack’s Wedding at the Island Hotel

Our first wedding this year was great one.  Creative Consultant Nili Stevens’ vision of an environment very different from a typical wedding reception was stunning!  The ballroom at the Island Hotel was transformed into an elegant modern lounge where no detail was overlooked.  Larissa of Inviting Occasion did an amazing job with the florals and decor and the food was unique and original.  The guests were able to choose among various food stations that took them all around the world.

We started the night before with the rehearsal dinner at the Bride’s home.  They had a catered event for their closest friends and family.  Everyone had a wonderfully relaxed time and we enjoyed the funny and heartfelt speeches of the Best Man, Maid and Matron of honor.

The next day we started bright and early while Erin and her 10 Bridesmaids got ready.  Erin looked absolutely gorgeous.  We had lots of fun photographing them at the house before taking off to San Joachim’s Church.  The ceremony was conducted by the priest who married Erin’s parents and baptized Erin.  His words were very touching and the ceremony was beautiful.

After the ceremony it was off to the Island Hotel for the celebration.  Wayne Foster greeted the guests with their non stop music and entertainment complete with plethora of party favors.  The guests danced all night and everyone had a great time.

We wish Erin and Jack all the happiness in the world as they start their new life together.

Ruben Grolet - I attended Joe and Mirta Barnet’s workshop and found it to be a very delightful experience. It was easy to follow and got everyone involved. The lessons were well designed and Joe and Mirta took turns talking and sharing their love of photography and how in one session. For me much of what was taught I knew but what kept me interested is that it confirmed my goals and what I have learned. I felt that this was very important and well worth every penney of the cost. I would recommend it to anyone, novice or not. I brought a notebook and made lots of notes so that tells me that there was a lot of very good information.

The juicy part for me was the opportunity to attend the Recharge at Rancho, Wedding Photography Workshop at Rancho Las Lomas, Silverado, Ca. I was so impressed that I re-scheduled a major med exam to attend this. Fortunately for me it is only a 2 week difference.
